General Information

School Transcripts

A Level students are required to complete the process of admission in universities before the declaration of the A Level result, and are required to provide school transcripts showing the results of internal exams. In the absence of the final A Level result, these transcripts are extremely important for admission in any university's under-grad programme. Students need to perform well throughout the two years of A Level, so that the grades appearing on their transcripts are good enough to compel admission authorities not only to grant them admission but also offer them generous scholarships.

Monthly Result Sheets

(Applicable to A Level)

The monthly evaluation grades carry 20% weighting in the promotion decision of AI students. Result sheets are generated for the months of October, November, January, February and March for both AI & AII. They are also generated for the month of September for A-II and for the month of April for A-I. The result sheets are handed to students well before a PTM and communicated to parents through our SMS Alert System. In case parents/guardians do not receive the result sheet for any of the above mentioned months, they may contact the Office Coordinator to obtain a copy of the same.

The purpose of the orientation is to introduce new students to the facilities, scheme of studies, time table, faculty and other staff members of the school and inform them about the policies and procedures that are followed at KIMS.

The significance of all students attending classes regularly and punctually cannot be emphasized enough. Any absence without prior notice or an application results in a fine of Rs.100/-. Absconding from classes after marking presence in the campus would also result in the imposition of cash fines. The purpose of these fines is not to impose a burden on parents, but to induce students to think twice before being absent unnecessarily. To seek cooperation from parents in this regard, we will be using our SMS Alert System, so that when and where possible, the day of absence shall be communicated immediately to the parents.

No Uniform on Fridays

(For A Level only)

A Level students are allowed to come to school in coloured clothes on Fridays. However, students wearing indecent or improper clothes would be denied entry in the school premises. Apart from Fridays, excluding those falling during examinations, students must always be in proper school uniform.

The school arranges various events all the year round like the Sports Fest, plays, debates and declamations etc. Participation in such events is highly recommended to all the students, as we believe extracurricular activities are an important part of a child's education and he/she acquires a lot of confidence through such exposures.

Assemblies are held as and when required.

Vehicles parked at KIMS remain at the owner's risk and will be left unattended after 2:45 p.m. on weekdays and 1:20 p.m. on Fridays.

Transport Facility

A pick-and-drop service is provided to students on a first-come-first-served basis. The transport charges are payable in advance for three months each time and are to be paid to the transporter directly. The school reserves the right to revise the transport charges in line with the frequent changes in fuel prices.

The pick-and-drop service comes into operation a few days after the start of the new session and pick-up points are set near students' houses by mutual agreement. The vans reach the first pick-up point at 6:30 a.m. and leave KIMS at 2:30 p.m. This facility is not available for extra classes, summer camps, school functions and Cambridge Examinations.

OII and AII students pay the charges for all months up to and including May, whereas students of Grade VII, VIII, OI and AI pay for all months up to and including June and 50% for the months of July and August as well. If, however, students of Grade VII, VIII, OI and AI wish to discontinue the use of school transport, they must do so before the 28th of February by giving one month's notice or forfeiting one month's charges. Discontinuation after the mentioned date will incur full payment up to and including June for Grade VII, VIII, OI & AI and May for OII & AII.

The last date for the payment of 3 months advance is the 5th of the due month. Failure to meet this deadline may result in termination of the service to the student. The school also reserves the right to recover any outstanding transport dues, especially if students discontinue availing transport facility after the 28th of February.

After the summer vacation, only those students will be provided school transport who have cleared all their dues till August. If not, they can either rejoin immediately by paying the full fee for June and 50% for July and August or rejoin after the 1st of November. However, this rule is not applicable to newly admitted students.
